Child Sponsorships
In December 2021, the first group of children in our child sponsorship program chose their sponsors! Visit the sponsorship page on our site to learn more about the program and sign up to be a sponsor.
Sponsors donations pay for all school fees, uniforms, and supplies needed for the children to attend a quality privater school. In addition to this, a portion of the funds are set aside as a healthcare fund for each child.
2022 Christmas Celebration
In 2022 we were able to provide 38 children in South West Uganda with a new wool blanket and a 10kg bag of rice! The village where our work is focused is just south of the equator, but also at a high elevation (over 7,000ft). This means the temperatures in the day are moderate, but at night can drop significantly. These gifts provide a warm night’s sleep for year to come with the blanket, and several warm meals for the children and their families with the rice. In addition to these gifts, we hosted a celebration and served each child a hot meal, a cool soda, and cake - A rare treat for a special occasion!

Because of your generosity, we were able to provide 50 children in South West Uganda with new school uniforms and new pairs of shoes. In addition to these gifts, we hosted a celebration and served each child a hot meal and a cool soda - A rare treat for a special occasion!
We also hosted a gathering for parents and guardians of children in the community, where we were able to share with them the mission and vision of Raising Children International.
The mission of RCI is "Coming alongside children and the communities they are a part of to bring about social change and spiritual renewal." It was wonderful to have the opportunity to meet with guardians of the children, and put to action the mission of partnering with children AND their communities.
Summer ‘21 Lockdown Relief /
Food Distribution
In the Summer of 2021 Uganda entered another lockdown due to Covid-19. This lockdown placed heavy restrictions on working, gathering, and traveling between counties. This put many families, especially in rural Uganda, in tough situations where food and daily supplies became harder to access for many families. Thanks to your support, RCI was able to distribute 47 bags of maize flour (5kg each!) and 50 bars of soap to children and their families who were impacted by this lockdown.
2020 Christmas Campaign
In 2020, due to safety concerns, and to follow all local guidelines, we were unable to host a large celebration. With the celebration unable to take place, we raised Christmas funds and were able to buy 17 new mattresses for children who needed them! Most of these children otherwise would sleep on the floor of their home.
Christmas Celebrations!
In 2018 and 2019 Raising Children International hosted Christmas celebrations, providing resources and gifts to about 50 children, some with their families. We provided everyone with a warm Christmas meal and some treats (candy + soda). We also have provided notebooks, pens and pencils, soap, lotion, toothbrushes, and toothpaste at these celebrations. Along with the meal and gifts, we sing and dance together as we celebrate each other and the joy of Christ’s birth.
